Hi there.. again.. Sorry for the
long wait ;-)
It has been over a
month since I updated last. 51 days to be exact. I haven't giving up
blogging, and I haven't (surprise!) died or anything. I have just been on my
summer holiday from school, and apparently I turn into a lazy sack of
po-freaking-patoes when it comes to writing, in the holiday. I have had 1 post in the entire month of July, and
that is just unacceptable from my part. I will try to make it up to you all
again, but I am starting school in two days, and I have been selected to tutor
one of the new classes in my high school (yay, exiting!!), so I might have my
hands more than full for the next few weeks. I will try, however, to get
blogging as much as possible. But school should be put first!
I honestly half
expected the blog to be totally dead and gone when I first checked my site..
But holy baloney freaking crap! I have just about passed 11200 hits (there is a
counter in the top let corner if you don't believe me..) on the page, and while
I have been missing from the site, there has been over 1600 Goddamn views on this blog! THERE
HASN'T EVEN BEEN ANY POSTINGS, and yet almost 1600 views.. I am really impressed!
I have been up to
a lot of things during my summer vacation. Well, "a lot" might be a
little over the top, but I haven't just been sitting around on a sofa and doing
nothing. I have been home for the majority of the time, and I have been bored off
my arse more than once - but all in all I am satisfied with my holiday. Here in
Denmark we have about 6 or 7 weeks of summer vacation, and one of my Spanish
friends have almost 3 months, which is extremely unfair.. But I think I would
just get extremely bored if I had that long a vacation, so I am fine with the
one I have.
Of course I always
feel like I could do with another week when I start school - but this year I
was honestly looking forward to starting school again. Not being a freshman
this year is also I thing I have been looking forward to! One of my really good
friends started this year, and I have sort of teased her about it, telling her
that is tradition that the freshmen get watered the first day. They don't,
really, but it has been fun watching her, running around with a paranoid facial
expression, protecting her computer from possible attacks.
I have mentioned
earlier that I am a scout, and of course we go on camps. This year I am a
senior, which means that I am in the age group where we are allowed to drink.
The scouting politics in Denmark are quite different from, for an example USA.
When we are ranked up (which has something to do with age, not just skills) to
seniors (16+) we are allowed to drink. We went to an all senior’s camp, so shit
was definitely going to go down, at some point! We had a few big parties, and
we were more or less drinking every evening. Of course we did some scouting
related stuff, like building a raft with a jump-tower-thing, working in the
blacksmith, cleaned toilets (ew) and we climbed in 20 meter high trees.
Of course I had to
get injured at the camp, that is more or less a tradition for me on these
camps, but luckily it was nothing major. I got a scratch on the right side of
my right knee when we made and sailed the raft (don't know when I got it, I
just felt it bleeding as we got out of the water), and a deeper one just above
my right ankle, which I got from a screw in a piece of wood. Yeah, that hurt
like fuck, and still hasn’t healed after more than a month, hmpf!
I spend some time
with the boys, and as always with those crazy fuckers, it was fun! We were to
sleep in a tent in my garden (which we apparently just felt like doing?), and
during the afternoon a water fight somehow started, and my little 6 year old
nephew wanted to join. It was so different to see those crazy-ass-teenage-boys-fuckers
be around my nephew, like.. It was weird in a good way, and it was so funny!
After the water fight we ate, and set up a small pavilion for us to sit out in
as it got colder during the evening. We played some rounds of
never-have-I-ever, and some cards were dropped on the table, even though I was
clearly the one who ended up drinking to most of the things. It didn't bother
me, I had fun. We went to the tent, and did of course fight for the middle
spots, and we ended up seeing some weird sci-fi-ish movie with Tom Cruise, and
it was really a lovely day.
The next day the
boys went home for a few hours, but late came to pick me up for a small
event-thing with my class, where the boys also were invited. We camped out at a
small sports club's club house, and we had so much fun! We made a bonfire, and
some things that shall not be mentioned on this blog happened - hahahahaha! :D
Nothing criminal or bad.. Just slightly embarrassing, and something that I
don't feel like the rest of the world needs to know. Let's just say that I got
to cross out a thing on my to-do list, "life edition" :-)
I also spend some
time with my lovely Amalie, you know the gal with the noir kiss blog? The
slightly hipster and so-much-more-organized-and-classier-than-mine, blog. You
should check it out. Anyway, we filmed some stuff to make two videos, "The
best friend tag" and "Blind make-up challenge".. Shit went down
with the last video, and I just have to get my butt together to edit it and
upload the damn things! It was so fun shooting those, and I keep kicking myself
for not having done them yet!
I all in all had
an amazing vacation, and I am pretty sure I have forgotten about a million
things I did.. I will do my best to not such a "dry spell" when it
comes to blogging, again - I already have a few posts planned out, just got to
get them written! ;-)
Hope you stayed to
this point, sorry if I bored your asses of, but if you made it here you
are awesome!
Love
you guys! ;-) (I just spell checked this in Word... It is about two full pages)
